Terms of Use
1. Website and demo
You may use the SweetSeat promotional website and Try Me demonstration for ordinary evaluation of the product. The demo contains fictional data and is not intended to store or process a real class.
2. Product licence
Rights to use the full SweetSeat application are determined by the licence or marketplace terms supplied at purchase. Unless those terms expressly allow it, purchasing or receiving SweetSeat does not transfer ownership of the software, brand or source code.
3. Appropriate use
SweetSeat is a planning tool for teachers and school staff. Users are responsible for the student information they enter and for complying with school policies and applicable obligations when storing, displaying, printing or sharing exported information.
4. Teacher review
Users must review seating suggestions before use. SweetSeat can only consider the information entered and the rules implemented in the application. It cannot assess every educational, behavioural, wellbeing, medical, safety or safeguarding factor relevant to an individual student.
5. Availability and updates
Features, compatibility and file formats may change between versions. Users should preserve important exported information and keep appropriate backups rather than relying solely on browser autosave.
6. Intellectual property
The SweetSeat name, branding, website content and software remain the intellectual property of their respective owner(s). Product screenshots may be used only as permitted by the applicable licence or written permission.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SweetSeat is provided as a planning aid and is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of an automated seating result. Any limitation of liability in final commercial terms should be reviewed for consistency with non-excludable statutory rights.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the product and sales model evolve. Business/operator and support contact details should be inserted before public commercial launch.
